Do you ever feel like everything is a struggle? Like life is wearing you down? Do you feel as if you are suffering injustice? Are you going through a downright fearful time?
It is at these very times that it is necessary to call upon our King. It is also during these times that calling upon Him is the last thing we feel like doing. We would do well to know that He places us in positions where we are tested, and it is in those places that He looks to see if we’ll call out to Him or back away and try and work things out in our own strength.
The book of Lamentations tells us:
“I called on your name, YHVH, from the depths of the pit.
You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief.
You came near when I called You, and You said, “Do not fear.”
Will you grow angry in the pit and blame it on Him, or will you call upon The King when you are at your lowest and darkness surrounds you? The decision is ultimately one between life and death.
