Does anyone else find it rather mind-boggling that (and we were in the same boat before we took the time to understand) to celebrate the Messiah’s resurrection, believers do two things that are EXPLICITLY FORBIDDEN by The Word itself:
#1 – Eating Ham – the pig is “Exhibit ‘A'” for what is an abomination and what is never to be eaten (a)
#2 – Eating Bread like “Easter Bread” “Hot Cross Buns” or other leavened breads, cakes, etc. When Messiah was in the tomb and resurrected and for almost another full week NOBODY was to eat leavened bread. In fact the leaven is to be completely removed from the home. (b)
So, the question is this: How much honor does our Messiah truly receive when right off the bat those who call themselves by His Name are doing two HUGE things that The King says NOT to do? And these are found in His Word, they aren’t man-made traditions!
And lest we say Yeshua (Jesus) by His death took these laws, which would be ‘bondage’ out of the way, let’s re-consider that before we continue with that belief. To say that is to commit (I know this sounds harsh!) treason against the King. To call His instructions bondage, or to say that His Messenger, the Messiah, His very Son, who said He only spoke what the Father said, is to say that the King is NOT righteous and NOT just. If Yeshua did what many propose then He undermines the very throne of God, which Psalm 89:14 says, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
Please consider what the Word says, and examine your traditions to see if they are in opposition to it. Remember it was Yeshua who rebuked men when He said this, “You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.” (Mark 7:8)

Coastlands Congregation of Messiah is a gathering of believers who have begun the journey of getting back to the Word. We are not afraid to shed the traditions of man in favor of the Word of our King. We exist to encourage one another and be a place to build others up in our Messiah Yeshua. We have discovered the ancient path that Jeremiah spoke about and it has changed our lives and our relationship with God through our Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). We meet each Shabbat (Sabbath) at 1 PM and are located in Washington, Pennsylvania which is just south of Pittsburgh, PA.
We simply desire to walk in the Ways of our King as best we understand and find our identity firmly grounded in Yeshua’s atoning work.
